This is the home-page of Glaurung. Glaurung is a small group of rovers. Now we have got nine members. Our name is taken from a
novel by
J.R.R.Tolkien - Glaurung is a dragon. We live in Czech Republic, in Prague,
main part of our members are involved in organizing our division. We meet each
other once a week in our clubroom, where there we are discussing our future
plans and all stuff connected with it.
This page is here mainly because of the Jamboree on the internet, it will be
perhaps changed in future.

Members are between 16 and 18 years old, they attend different Prague grammar schools. Everyone looks after different sections:

English equivalent for Kolíček is clothes peg. Glaurung is publishing scout magazine Kolíček, which comes out approximately four times a year. It's contents are mainly reports from expeditions and other actions, that we make and many more such as articles for young scouts, scouting, articles, songs, review of outdoor equipment, etc... New release should be published even here, on the web.
Glaurung organizes sometimes actions for itself only, for divisions or for friends. They are for example (with cooperation with our leader House (Gosling)) making cider in September, birth-celebration of Glaurung in October (this year, it is connected with war game "Fighting over Cintra", we are bashing each other with wooden swords), New Year in mountains, Eastern actions and this year in summer holidays were we in Scotland for a whole month. It was really great there and we are going to project our photos from there.
Glaurung also takes part in actions that organizes someone else - for example Lord of the Rings, Flags fighting, and some other.
